Core skills training – A Radio Go-Kit for Emergencies and Disasters:
Presented by Teams 12 and 1:
Barbara / AC7UH and Linda / AA6MR
Overview:
If the need arises, can you set up your own portable communications station ‘in the field’ as part of an emergency/disaster response (or for a public service activity)? This presentation will show you how a little preparation can go a long way toward making it easy.
Training Objective:
Present ideas on equipment and supplies needed to set up an effective portable communications station as part of an emergency/disaster response.

Briefing – Winlink Peer-to-Peer Drill (29 Jan.)
Presented by Team 0:
Michael / AE7GQ
Training Objective:
Inform members about upcoming “5th Saturday” communications drill.

Advanced skills topic – Winlink Peer-to-Peer Problem Solving:
Presented by Team 3:
Bernd / KB7AK
Overview:
This presentation is not about using the graphical user interface on your computer to send Winlink Peer-to-Peer messages. We’ve done that before, and there are lots of on-line videos available for viewing. Rather, it is about solving those other pesky little things (cabling, radio menu settings, TNC modes and setup, PC COM ports, etc.) that keep things from working. If you have solved other problems related to Winlink Peer-to-Peer modes, please share those successes at the end of the presentation.
Training Objective:
Present solutions to common problems (cabling, radio menu settings, TNC modes and setup, PC COM ports, etc.) that keep Winlink from working.
Training Reference:
Personal expertise of the presenter.
